Age Requirements
Minimum Age: 18
Age 18 to 20 -
Age 21 to 23 -
Minimum renting age is 18 years old, please note that renters and additional drivers between the ages of 18 to 23 years of age are subject to "Under Age Fees" as well as "Additional Driver Fees" where applicable.
Additional Drivers
Additional drivers permitted An additional charge of $ 3.00 applies per day (per additional driver)
Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 21
ALL ADDITIONAL DRIVERS OTHER THEN A SPOUSE ARE REQUIRED TO MEET THE SAME QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AS THE PRIMARY RENTER. THE UNDER AGE FEES APPLY TO THE ADDITIONAL DRIVERS.
Deposit Requirements
Cash deposits are accepted.
NOTICE TO ALL CASH DEPOSIT RENTERS
The following will be required from any Cash / Debit Card renters or additional drivers.
1.You must apply in person at least 7 days prior to the date of the rental.
2. When you apply you must be able to provide proof of a personal (Full Coverage) auto policy that is in good standing for the period of the rental. The Comprehensive & Collision must be transferable to the rented vehicle (renter must allow us to verify coverage).
3. UTILITY BILL: You must provide a current utility bill. The address must match the name and address of the renter. (to match licence)
4. PROOF OF EMPLOYMENT: You must provide a current pay stub as proof of employment (you allow us to call your employer to verify employment).
5. CURRENT MVR REPORT: Must provide a MVR report showing your driving history which is no more then 2 days old.
6. RENTAL TERM: You must return every 4 to 5 days to maintain your proper deposit level.
The following are also accepted for deposit:
Debit Card, VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club, Direct Bill (with special approval)

Sensible Car Rental Of Brooklyn accepts the following methods of payment:

One-Way Rentals
Vehicle drop-offs between Sensible Car Rental Of Brooklyn locations is permitted (only with prior written approval)

This fee applies to all renters and additional drivers of the ages 21 to 23 years of age.

GPS navigation for $5 per day

Child Booster Seat
$14.00 per week
$2.00 per day
We have Child Booster Seats for $2 per day. NYS law requires that all children until the age of 8 sit in a booster seat.
Baby seat
$4.00 per day
$25.00 per week
Infant and baby seats until the age of 4 are $4 per day.
Disclaimer
Renter is required and responsible to follow city, state and federal law regarding, booster, child seats, seat belts speed limits, parking and all other restrictions and requirements.

Insurance and Coverage
All renters and additional drivers must be able to provide proof of a personal auto policy; if the policy only provides Liability, the renter must provide a "Credit Card" which provides the "Card Holder" with "Vehicle Rental Protection".
